The longer I live, the more I realize
the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to
me, is more important than education, than
money, than circumstances, than failures,
than success, than what other people think
or say or do. It is more important than
appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will
make or break a company … a church … a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice
everyday regarding the attitude we embrace
for that day. We cannot change our past … we
cannot change the fact that people act in a
certain way. We cannot change the
inevitable. The only thing we can do is play
on the string we have, and that is our
attitude … I am convinced that life is 10%
what happens to me and 90% how I react to
it. And so it is with you … we are in charge

Freestyle Hair Body
and Soul Day Spa is a full-service
salon owned and operated by Kathy Letters
who has over thirty years of experience in the
beauty industry. Kathy states our
professionally trained staff continually
participates in advanced education to
implement new trends and the
stylists are annually trained and certified
as an "Elite Moda Capelli salon" which sets
them apart from your average hair salon in
the Pittsburgh area.
Freestyle Hair offers on-going education
three times a year for our salon staff; and
we bring in Framesi educators from all over
the country. If we learn one new technique
it fuels our creativity to bring new ideas
to our clients. In 2009 we attended the New
York Hair Show which provided each of us to
learn new techniques and products.
Semi-annual hair and fashion shows are a
part of the on-going education offered to
our staff which will ultimately benefit our
clients.

and Soul Day Spa our objective is to
provide our clients with a relaxing escape
from their daily routines, relaxing in a
calm, comfortable environment, while
receiving professional Salon & Spa services,
combined with outstanding customer service.

Kathy Letters - Owner/Hair Designer
Kathy has been a hair designer for 30
years and has been very involved in her
community of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania. For the
past 20 years Kathy has owned Freestyle Hair
Body and Soul Day Spa. Kathy prides herself
in not only her own abilities as a hair
designer; but also in the quality of staff
she hires. She requires a high level of
excellence in her staff as well as the
products the salon offers.
Freestyle has been involved with the
North Hill Community Outreach for 10 years
through fundraising events reaching over
$10,000. We also sponsored a cut-a-thon that
raised over $2,500 to build trikes for
handicapped children.

Patty Jeffers - The Voice of
Freestyle Hair Body and Soul Day Spa
Patty is not only the voice when you call
Freestyle Hair but she also is the office
manager, receptionist, inventory specialist,
secretary, accountant, repairwoman, mentor
and all around "Jackie" of all trades.
Patty took a break from the work force for
about 20 years and was asked by her
life-long and best friend, Kathy Letters, to
come and work with her. Patty states it has
been a real learning experience but along
with the other staff she strives to make
each client's visit a relaxing and fun time.

Darlene Juswick - Hair Designer
Darlene has been in the beauty industry
for 13 years and I enjoys making people feel
wonderful from head to toe. Darlene
specializes in hair, manicures, pedicures as
well as waxing.

Betty Romea - Hair Designer
Betty has worked at Freestyle Hair for 10
years and prior to this she owned a salon in
Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania for 17 years. So
Betty has 27 years in the beauty industry.
Betty continues her education in hair design
and Framesi 4-week Mastering the Palette
coloring class.

Manicurist/Spray Tanning Specialist
Seventeen years of attention to clients'
nails means Connie is a true manicure
artist. She has been at Freestyle Hair for
10 years; and invites you to come in and
allow her to treat your nails to one of the
many types of manicures offered at Freestyle
Hair.

Jenn Hohman - Hair Designer
Jenn has been working at Freestyle since
she graduated from the North Hills Beauty
Academy. Jenn's love for the art of hair
design affords her the opportunity to meet
new people and help them determine the best
look and cut for their face.

Katelyn Manchester, Head Assistant,
Color Mixologist
Katelyn has been with Freestyle Hair for
5 years. She is one of our most versatile
employees. Not only does she welcome our
clients with one of the best shampoos and
head massages you will ever get, she also
helps keep our hair designers stay on
schedule.

Linsey Thomas - Master Hair Designer,
Natural Nail Technician, Esthetician and
Cosmetology Instructor
Linsey has worked in the cosmetology
industry for eleven years and is also
licensed to teach cosmetology. She has work
experience in high end salons in the
Pittsburgh area and during this time she
expanded her interest and education to
include returning to school to earn her
Teacher of Cosmetology License. As an
educator she taught at Empire Schools for
two Years and she continues to teach and
speak at the schools when needed. She feels
working at Freestyle Hair Body and Soul Day
Spa has allowed her to create looks for her
clients which they love.

Kari Kreke - Hair Designer
Kari's motto is your best accessory is
your hair. Kari is one of Freestyle's
newest additions to the staff with 5 years
of employment. Kari's experience is also in
fashion which helps her provide her clients
a hair design perfect for them. She loves
working with the classic bob as well as the
edgiest trends. Kari prides herself in
learning and implementing innovative ways to
bring out her client's individual
personalities. Clients satisfaction is her
goal which builds her long-term
relationships with her clients.

Joy Newmen - Licensed Cosmetology
Instructor
Joy has been active in the cosmetology
industry for 23 years. She was a former
teacher of cosmetology at Pittsburgh Beauty
Academy for 10 years. She is very
knowledgeable in all areas of the beauty
industry. Joy prides herself in client
consultations delivering exactly what is
discussed with complete satisfaction. Joy
also gives an awesome spray tan.

Freestyle Hair Body
and Soul Day Spa offers up to 60% commission
with a book; one week's paid vacation
after a year, and two weeks after 5 years. A
percentage of health insurance coverage is
also provided.
